Ingredients
1 lb chicken tenders
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp onion powder
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup coconut aminos or soy sauce (low sodium)
2 tbsp grape juice + a splash of vinegar vinegar
1/4 cup honey
2 tbsp butter or oil
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. Mix salt, black pepper, paprika, chili powder, cinnamon, and onion powder in a small bowl. Sprinkle over the chicken to coat thoroughly.
2. Heat 1 tbsp butter or oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken tenders and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter or add a splash of oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Stir in coconut aminos, grape juice + a splash of vinegar vinegar, and honey. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
5. Return the chicken to the skillet and toss in the sauce. Simmer for 2 more minutes to ensure the chicken is coated evenly.
6. Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with optional parsley or sesame seeds.
Notes
Patting the chicken dry helps achieve a better sear.
For a milder flavor, reduce the chili powder.
